Member of the Month: Kelsey Carter!

Congratulations to January’s Member of the Month: Kelsey Carter!

Kelsey was chosen as this month’s Member of the Month because she embodies Hustle One’s values.

She gives everything she has every day and she seeks out her trainers routinely for help and advice to make sure she’s always improving. Her positive attitude and smile finds its way into all of her interactions within the gym.

When 2020 ended, 175 days had passed since she first joined Hustle One Fitness; in that time frame she attended 184 sessions!

Where did you grow up?

Originally from Charleston, SC!

When did you become a member of Hustle One Fitness?

I became a member of Hustle One back in July of this past summer.

What do you do when you are not at Hustle One Fitness?

When I’m not at Hustle One I spend my time teaching at a middle school in Summerville.

How did you find out about Hustle One Fitness?

I found out about Hustle through a family friend, and she was always raving about it!

When/How did you realize Hustle One Fitness was the right fit for you?

I knew Hustle One was right for me the day after my first class when James texted me asking when I was coming back. I had only been to one class but everyone made me feel super welcome. The gym has grown a lot already since then, but that feeling of welcomeness is still there.

What is your favorite movement (ex: Cleans, Running etc)?

My favorite movement is probably Power Cleans.

What is your least favorite movement?

My least favorite is definitely Snatches.

What motivates you to stay fit?

What motivates me to stay fit are all the benefits I’ve experienced since working out. All the people at the gym that cheer one another on, and of course the trainers! 

What is something about you that Hustle One members do not know yet?

I guess something other members don’t know is that I love to play tennis…so if anyone ever wants to play, let’s go! 

What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Hustle One Fitness?

My advice to someone just starting at Hustle One is to just stick with it. The first week or two you definitely will hurt all over but it’s so worth it.

What are you working on next?

I’m currently just working on getting a pull up. It’s going to happen soon!
