At Hustle One Fitness, we love celebrating our members’ hard work and achievements. This December, we’re thrilled to spotlight Brett Sims, who joined Hustle One early in 2024 and has since lost an incredible 50 pounds since beginning personal training!
Brett’s story is one of determination and consistency. As a firefighter and a dedicated member of Charleston Rescue, his schedule is nothing short of demanding. Yet, he’s made it a priority to carve out time for himself, working out three times a week without fail.
Brett has focused on strength training to build muscle, while also dedicating specific days to conditioning. His hard work has paid off, not just in the weight he’s lost but in the milestones he’s achieved. One of his most exciting accomplishments is setting a personal record for running a mile without stopping—a major victory that showcases his improved endurance and grit.

I’m from Charleston, South Carolina
When did you join Hustle One Fitness?
Started with Hustle One in April 2024!
What is your favorite thing about working out?
My favorite thing about working out is challenging myself and seeing progress and strength increase. I also enjoy getting rid of stress by putting it into my workout!
What do you do when you are not at Hustle One Fitness? Favorite thing to do outside of the gym?
When I’m not at Hustle One I’m caring for two parents, taking my new puppy to the beach or enjoying my time off with friends.
When/How did you realize Hustle One Fitness was the right fit for you?
I realized that Hustle one was right for me after my first Bring a Friend Day and working out with Coach Rebecca. I saw how friendly everyone was and how challenging and motivating the workouts were and knew that’s where I needed to be.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Favorite cheat meal is Hot Roni pizza!
What is your favorite movement?
My favorite movement has got to be deadlift.
What is something about you that Hustle One members do not know yet?
I’ve performed twice in Carnegie Hall as a vocalist.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Hustle One Fitness?
Stick with it and don’t be afraid to modify your workout. Some movement is always better than none.
