Kate joined Hustle One Fitness on opening day back in 2019. She saw a Facebook post about a West Ashley gym opening up, and decided to give it a shot!

Fast forward over 2 years, you can find Kate in the gym working out with the rest of her community!

Kate is one of the best people to have in classes!

She sure knows how to keep our coaches on their toes with her wittiness!

Kate is one of the original 5am OG’s, and it’s a testament to her dedication for waking up and working out before the sunrise for over 2 years.

We love having Kate as a member of our gym family, and are constantly inspired by her dedication to her health while being a full-time new mom, and full-time nurse!

Here is her story!

“I found Hustle One Fitness on Facebook! I saw an announcement about a new gym opening up in West Ashley, so I decided to give it a shot on opening weekend.

There have been so many great memories within the last 2+ years.

My favorite was participating in Barbells and Breakfast after only being a member of Hustle One for a few months. I stepped outside my comfort zone, but it was definitely rewarding!

Prior to beginning at Hustle One, I knew I wanted to have a baby. I made it clear that I wanted to get fit before trying to get pregnant when I met with James, the owner, for my Intro Session.

Never did I think I would have been working out until I was 38.5 weeks pregnant! [This is incredible!]

Right now, I have to remember to give myself some grace for all that my body has been through the last year and a half, and focus on getting to the gym and being patient.

Before workouts, I tell myself, ‘Just show up and do what you can.’

I also tell myself when my alarm goes off at 4:30am that I will feel better afterwards! 

I am able to wake up early because the community and coaches at Hustle One keep me motivated and accountable.

My favorite side affect of working out is more energy during the work day, and being more productive at work.

If I had to tell myself one thing before I began: ‘Step outside your comfort zone and just give it a shot!'”
