4 Tips to Stay Fit
Happy Holidays! We are officially (and finally) in Christmas week!
This means we have 2 more weeks until the end of the year, and a new year will be upon us before we know it.
You might be already thinking: “I’ll just wait a few more weeks before I start eating healthy and get back into the gym.”
But, I’m here to tell you to have your cake and eat it to!
As we all know, the holiday season can be a time of indulgence and over-eating. Here’s how to avoid the holiday snowball.
But that doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice our fitness goals.
In fact, staying active during the holidays can actually help us feel our best and maintain a healthy weight.
Here are a few tips for staying fit during the holiday season:
- Don’t skip your workouts. It can be tempting to let our fitness routines slide during the busy holiday season, but it’s important to make time for physical activity. Even just a short workout can boost our mood and energy levels, and help us stay on track.
- Get outside. The weather may be cold, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some fresh air and sunshine. Go for a walk, run, or hike to enjoy the beauty of the season and get some exercise at the same time.
- Try something new. The holidays are a great time to try a new form of exercise, such as a dance class or a group fitness class. Not only will it keep things interesting, but it can also be a fun way to spend time with friends and family.
- Don’t deprive yourself. It’s okay to enjoy the delicious holiday treats, but be mindful of portion sizes and balance them with healthy choices. Remember, moderation is key.
